  88.               Manually Installing Instructions

  91.  The file ASOL3HLP.DOC is a page-image version of the online help file
  92.  ASOL3HLP.HLP.  It is recommended that the user print this file by
  93.  copying it to a standard printer:

  97.      The following are minimal instructions for manually installing
  98.                          AstroEquationSolver 3.
  99.  
  100. ■ Minimum distribution files:  README.1ST, ASOL3.ICO, ASOL3.EXE,
  101.   ASOL3HLP.HLP, ASOL3HLP.DOC.  These files may be
  102.   distributed in compressed formats such as SOL312.ZIP.
  103.  
  104. ■ Create a DOS directory named ASTRO3 and change to it:
  105.  
  106.   cd\ (enter)    md\astro3 (enter)  cd \astro3 (enter)
  107.  
  108. ■ Copy distribution file(s) into this directory.
  109.  
  110. ■ If necessary, decompress SOL312.ZIP as follows:

  112.   pkunzip SOL312 (enter)
  113.  
  114. ■ Add these statements to AUTOEXEC.BAT in the base directory:
  115.  
  116.   ∙ SET ASTRO3=C:\ASTRO3
  117.   ∙ append to existing PATH statement  ;C:\ASTRO3;
  118.   · reboot the computer (ctrl alt del).

  120. ■ Running Under Windows as a Non-Windows Application
  121.  
  122.  Follow the installation instructions and install on the hard drive C.
  123.  Start WINDOWS (tm, MicroSoft).  Click on FILE then click on PROPERTIES.
  124.  Enter the following information for each of the fields.  Description:
  125.  AstroFormCalc 3, Command:  ASOL3.EXE, Working Directory:  \ASTRO3.
  126.  Click on CHANGE ICON.  Enter Filename:  C:\ASTRO3\ASOL3.ICO.  Click on
  127.  OK to exit and click on OK to exit FILE.  The Astro 3 icon should
  128.  appear in the accessory window.  Click on it to run ASOL3.  At "Get
  129.  file" prompt type YES (enter) and at filename prompt type (end esc)
  130.  ASOL3HLP.HLP(enter).
